About this mountain journey

This artistic reconstruction draws on photographs and the visitor map published by the Maoshan scenic area. The three temple precincts retain their characteristic rooflines, courtyards and landscape settings. Building details are interpreted, and the terrain and distances are compressed for a continuous journey; this is not a measured model or an on-site navigation map.

Choose a palace, move freely through the landscape, or begin a gentle guided journey. Open Move for direction and height controls, and restore the current viewpoint whenever you wish. The links above lead to the scenic area’s photographs and introductions. Continue to our heritage and living-tradition pages for the history and people behind these places.
